RaccoonGuard

Our current automation uses motion events from an authorized Google Nest backyard camera to start a short watering cycle through an Orbit B-hyve sprinkler controller. Nighttime, equipment-availability, and cooldown checks control when watering can run.

This is a private household project, not a public sign-up service. Camera motion detection does not guarantee identification of raccoons or uninterrupted operation.

Access and privacy

Only devices authorized by the owner are connected. This website provides information about the project; it does not provide camera feeds or controls for household devices.
